Newborn Development @ 1 month

Here are the baby milestones @ 1 month: By the end of the month most babies should be able to:
  • Lift head for short periods of time
  • Move head from side to side
  • Prefer the human face to other shapes
  • Make jerky arm movements
  • Bring hand to face
  • Demonstrate strong reflex movements
  • Focus on items 8 to 12 inches away
  • Turn towards familiar sounds or voices
  • Respond to loud sounds
  • Blink at bright lights

The developments from 0-1 months are not that much of a difference but rather improved by the end of the 1st month. It's such a sweet treat for us seeing baby's first smile... he's very very adorable. He's starting to gain back the weight that he lost on the first few weeks after he's born.
